edf is considered to be minimum 12 why?
Is there any relation between power of test and edf?
I have read in some article that increasing number of observations(n) will increase power of test (means decrease beta) then my quest is if we increase n then there are less chances to commit any type of error (alpha or beta) then why we are only focused on power of test only?

Type I and type II error probabilities are both important.
If you can consider a confidence interval, that may be more easily interpretable.
Sample size and population standard deviation are both important. Stratification of your population may be helpful.

Power of test measures the probability that the decision taken is correct. It is essential that the probability of correct decision is should be as more as possible. This is the vital reason for which focus is given more of the power of the test.
