Dear Prof Abhijit, at this moment RG is experiencing some 'technical issues' that will be fixed as soon as they can. Calculation of scores is the only function that has 'become static', I believe. But some of us are not on RG for its scores. I am here to collaborate with certain people who think in the same manner. Have a good day.
Dear Subhash, that note posted by RG has been put there for more than a month. But the 'technical issues' have been just a shorter period. It was Hussein Elasrag who wrote to RG community support and confirmed that it was just technical problems that caused RG to be unable to perform just one function. RG asks for patience. See Hussein's post #29 on this thread.
I don't much care for this transitory RG crash on scores updates.
We should not be dependent on scores to proceed with our participation on RG. We all take profit from coming here. Either to collect information or to communiceate and exchange our ideas.and take to interesting direct contacts with colleagues on our fields of interest.
I might even feel more free to think and to relate with others if there were no scores...
7 million participants is a whole lot to analyse weekly... Maybe they should better analyse us on monthly basis... (I don't mind. I don't much apreciate being analysed by nonpeers, anyway, much less by a cold anonymous computer system...)
RG Support has responded to a query from Hussein Elasrag
Dear Hussein,
Thanks for getting in touch. We've been experiencing some technical issues that should be fixed soon. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
You should not worry too much dear Abhijit about possible technical problems RG may have. After all no one is perfect and many issues need to be addressed to make the system better. Everyone should continue their interactions for mutual benefits while the system exists.
The valuable answers on the question.https://www.researchgate.net/post/I_notice_that_RG_score_has_not_changed_this_week_Can_anyone_tell_me_what_happened
