Hi,

I have been working on lipid extraction from marine microalgae using hexane/ethanol as the solvent. I am facing precipitation issue during the final part of the lipid extraction, which is the evaporation of the extraction solvent to collect pure lipids. There was some precipitation left at the bottom of the beaker after the drying step. I'm using a large sample volume (~2L), and I don't have this issue when working on small volume (~30 mL) before this. I have been extra careful during the cell debris filtering part to avoid any cell debris contamination but it didn't help.

Anyone faced this similar issue before and any suggestion to overcoming this?

Thank you very much in advance.
