Sorry, I am not of your branch of research, but I will try to help: normally a flux is defined by a mass that crosses na área by time. This way it is related of a unit of cross section área that for a hole (circle) means a proportion with diameter squared. This way the relation is not linear.
very true..but if we see the graph plotting we find that for l/a ratio =0 the graph is parabolic but as it increases the graph shifts to the left with a different curve (the curve plotted is between rel. beam intensity and emission angle )
With that respect why is it so ..is that something to do with experimental result or its based on certain law ???
