I am running a multivariate analysis where i am analysing the impact of four input variables(input rate, oil quality, distillation processing time and failure rate) on two output(total product and equipment utilisation) using SPSS but when the result is displayed it is empty with only dots. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong or how i can resolve this? Please find attached the result and the SPSS file
I do not know the answer to your question. Instead I want to ask why you are using a complicated method? Why not take only one of the two outcomes and try multiple regression?
Thanks Anil for the response, I am quite familiar with multivariate analysis that is one reason and since my independent variables are not correlated I was told that I might not get much benefit from doing multiple regression. To be sincere I am not an expert in SPSS.
The problem could be a simple technical one. Double check the data. When an alphabetical character -- or just a comma, or something that is not a number--- has made its way into a numerical cell, most computer programs dont do the job and dont tell you why.
i have check the data but did not find any thing that might be technical related. Anyways, thanks for your support Ana.
