Why the RAW264.7 cell look shrunken and less color after seeding in 12 well-plate 24 hour?

I seeded RAW cells (passage 12) in a 12-well plate at a density of 5x10^5 cells/well. After 24 hours, the cells appeared shrunken, and there was less color at the edges of the wells. I used DMEM with 10% FBS and 1% penicillin. Do you have any suggestions for what might have caused this and how to avoid this situation?
