In a three point bend (TPB) model with Cohesive Element layers tied with two symmetric halves of the TPB geometry, the elements tied with CZ layer are assymetrically deforming [see in the picture].

For larger continuum elements [0.1mm, for Cohesive element of 0.002mm] it occurs after small crack growth of 0.1mm, i.e. one element, but for smaller continuum elememt [0.05mm] this occurs in the first element. I dont know why? and I cannot solve it.

Secondly, when I use tabular damage, the cohesive elements do not deform and only the continuum deforms, again assymterically. [suggested by some, i also used 10000 points to describe tabular damage]

If someone can share his experince on this, I would be very thankful.

Abhishek
