Why the discrete rigid body is not partitioned?

i am modeling the horizontally curved RC beam in ABAQUS 6.14 with and when i create the support and loading plate i selected the discrete rigid body rather than deformable: but i can not able to to assign boundary condition because not partitioned and not able to create surface on small portion of the plate. can i gate any help PLEASE, THANKS
