Why the b value in supercapacitor is less than 0.5?

The power law i=av^b is used to calculate the b value.

Generally the range for b value is 0.5 to 1 corresponding to slow diffusion to highly capacitive nature of the material.

What will happen if b value is less than 0.5 and what could be the reason for the same.
