Why TFE (Trifluoroethanol) is always choosed to research the conformation of peptides in CD spectral?

In many papers, when we need to compare the conformation between two peptides, TFE is choosed as the solvent in CD spectral. What's the reasons to choose TFE? I don't think the solubility of peptide is the only reason.

I found a book(Circular Dichroism and the Conformational Analysis of Biomolecules, Edited by Gerald D. Fasman ) said that TFE is a strongly helix-stabilizing solvent yesterday, but the article you shared discussed each of reasons in greater detail. Thank you very much.
