I am doing a research about polyycrstal MAPbI3, and my recepit is follow byYC. Kim et. al. The main porcess include: Equivalent molar ratios of MAI and PbI2 in 22wt% γ -butyrolactone in sealed bottle and heated 90°C 5 hours. Then 30 wt% or less α -terpineol added into the bottle and also keep 90°C 5 hours. The finnal viscous solution was printed on substrates and 120°C for 90min. After that, the sample was preserved in a vacuumed petri dish with desiccant. However the sample trun completely trun yellow after 2 days. It could be trun back to dark brown after heat to 100°C an hour.
Why my sample trun yellow under vacuum preservation? Is there something related to {MAPbI3·solvent}？
I think you used too high temperature, which leads to degradation of perovskite.
We used 90oC for three hours for similar films and observed phase separation: MAPI phase and PbI2 formation. Also we compared 100-160oC heating for 10 min after preparation: with temperature growth the PbI2 phase increases up to formation of yellow film with a high resistivity.
