Why molten globule / intermediate formed during protein unfolding is stable ?

hello every one

In my case, my protein (having 3 domains)shows molten globule / intermediate at pH 3. At this pH protein is stable showing Tm around 720 c whereas native protein shows Tm 480 c with DSC. It shows maximum fluorescence intensity even higher than that of native protein what could be the possible explanation for this. I have done ANS binding assay showing maximum intensity at pH 3. please suggest me?
