It has pastulated that low nitrogen concentration in soil or culture medium enhanced anthocyanin acculation in plant tissue with reduced growth? What are the logic beoynd, some one postulated Nitrogen carbon balance, please if some one elborate it?

To my knowledge phosphorus deficiency enhances anthocyanin formation in plants. Azolla rich in nitrogen often appear red in growing habitats due to deficiency of phosphorus.
