I have submitted a manuscript to 5 different journals with almost same aims and scope but still they rejected it. The manuscript was completely following the journal guidlines and all the results were properly oriented. Then i tried for another journal with same aims and scope this time they accepted. Donot researchers find a need for a global organisation which can handle and deal with misleading Journals.
The reasons for rejecting a manuscript could be scooped under three umbrellas: Technicality, validity, and quality. Technicality issues might include irrelevance of a manuscript to a journal’s aims and scope or its violation of research ethics (e.g., committing plagiarism). Unsoundness of methodology or misinterpretation of findings could red-flag validity issues in a manuscript. Besides, poor language and style could form a powerful drive for a manuscript rejection based on the organizational quality of the write-up. Aadil, sorry to hear about some of the difficulties you experienced in trying to get your article published. A colleague of mine also posted a topic on RG regarding 'Waiting Times' to get an article published with the intention of soliciting debates and discussions on related publication matters.
