First of all, verify if the current range is set to 0...10 mA, not larger (to be sure you have the best resolution).

Use a true reference electrode (connected by an appropriate salt bridge).

Using the data from your CV, I think a deposition at constant current ( > - 1.2 mA ) is feasible. (For higher current settings, stir the solution). Stir the solution, also during CV, to guess an appropriate current value.

I think, disturbance in your active material. So, you can use low morality of your electrolytes.

There are so many reasons behind that to getting nice CV curves, Firstly you have to choose suitable electrolyte with exact concentration and potential limitation is also important.

Secondly, reference electrode should be in good condition otherwise if the reference electrode is not in good condition we can not expect good CV results. And one more think please check the connections while doing the experiments that is also important thing.

Check the connections of all electrodes, there may be some loose contact.

Did you checked current sensitivity of it? Try varying the current sensitivity value.

I would suggest you to check the connections. I experienced such noise in CV curves due to loosen connections. Thanks.

Niroshan Chinthaka Gunawardena Thanks for your answer. I'm using pt wires for working , reference and counter electrodes. I do not have any kind of covers on the wires. Can you think of any other reasons why I'm getting so much noise.

if u doing CV experiments will adjust the sensitivity of current (eg. if u give 10-3 it will be decrease the to 10-5 or 10-6 like wise )

first of all, you can check connections with the proper working and decreases the current sensitivity.
