Looking at the chart of nuclides, I asked myself why Tc-98 does not undergo beta plus decay. From the mass differences both beta minus (into Ru-98) and beta plus (into Mo-98) seem possible. Also from the spin I see no obvious reason why it should not happen (Tc-98 having 6+ in ground state; both Mo-98 and Ru-98 having 4+ levels at energies that could be populated). Am I overlooking something?
