Why is the Supported Liquid Membrane method presented better than the co-precipitation or ion exchange methods to extraction of heavy metals .

I would like to justify the use of supported liquid membrane

I do not agree with Sujata Mishra, because there a number of literature available on metal selective ion exchanger. One reason may be the cost effectiveness and ease of operation. Metal selectivity is there but we can't say that it is absent in ion exchange method.
