Is there a law or method that determines the division of the outer domain surrounding the rotating domain of wind turbines into multi sections in Ansys, as well as choosing the position of the rotating domain inside it as shown in the pictures
How you partition the domain will depend on the simulation method you are going to use (MRF, siding mesh or dynamic mesh). For MRF and sliding mesh you need only two domains. That is inner rotating domain and outer stationary domain. I will not talk about dynamic meshing now.
If you are doing the simulation with all tetrahedral mesh, two domains are enough.
We normally divide the outer domain into several parts to make our meshing easy and to get a good quality mesh, specially if you are going to use hexahedral meshes.
Dear Dr.Hossam, I knew that you have the answer to all my queries, and you did valuable articles with your team, but you did not reply to my message on research gate and Whatsapp. I think because you are very busy, if you find some time to answer my question, I'll be thankful
I'm working on an Archimedes wind turbine, when i used two domains, the skewness was higth ,while when I divided the external domain as in the picture, the skewness was less than the work the tow domains .that is what I know until now.
If you have more explains about this question , please mention it here.
