I tried qvd oph at a concentration of 20uM (1hr pre treatment) and then added an apoptosis inducing agent, but both my drug treated and qvd+ drug treated cells look the same. I am not able to conclude whether the qvd is able to inhibit cell death or not.

I need a bit more information. What do you mean by they look the same? They both show apoptotic features? What is your apoptosis inducing agent and for how long did you treat them and did you try using other apoptosis inducing agents and especially did you just look at them or did you actually quantify cell death?
