Dear Friends,
Could someone explain to me why it's suggested to do esterification in the presence of nitrogen? How does nitrogen help make sure we have enough molecules on the surface?
Thank you so much.
To prevent oxidation
@ Dadfar, may be the nitrogen-containing ester is substantially free of tritratable acidity.
Or to prevent hydrolysis of the activated acid? So oxygen is not the problem, but moisture in the air.
@ Paul Thanks for your reply. Yes, you're right maybe we will have oxidation in the presence of oxygen
Jesper Brask maybe, but anyway thanks for your reply
J. C. Tarafdar I think so . Thanks
Hello, Why do i see this baseline drift when i compare my blank (black) to the sample (blue)? Any suggestions as to why this happened? Thank you!
