I have produced Cu added (Ni is replaced by Cu) NiMnSn alloys by ball milling method. After ice water quenching, a mixed phase microstructure (parent phase + martensite phase ) is obtained. Why I am not getting 100% martensite even below Mf temperature? Kindly answer

I have found Ms, Mf, As, Af temperatures by DSC. The Mf is more than 100 degree celcius for all samples. Anyway, I have done ice water quenching. Yes, you are right. With the increasing percentage of Cu, MT decreases.
But my question is -why I am not getting 100% martensite even after quenching. Kindly give me scientific reason of incomplete transformation.

With increasing Cu percentage, martensite content increases as found by optical and SEM microstructural study. DSC study indicates that Ms, Mf, As, Af all are decreasing with the addition of Cu. In this case, how to define the role of Cu?
If I say, Cu is stabilizing martensite phase (on basis of microstructural study), in that case, Ms and Mf temperature should increase. but it is not happening in my case.
If I say, Cu is stabilizing austenite phase, in that case, As and Af should decrease. It is happening in my case. (but it contradicts with microstructural results).
On the basis of these results, How Can I decide the role of Cu?
