Gold bottom and top electrodes are evaporated and the dielectric polymer is spin-coated. I can think of dewetting of gold electrode or rough gold surface causing short-crcuit between top and bottom electrodes, but what else can be responsible? What can be done to avoid short-circuit?
Cleanliness is one of the most important factors. Everything should be filtered to 0.22 microns or better - that includes air (Class 100) as well as fluids.
What thickness do you expect for your polymer? What is the size of your electrodes? Are they patterned?
Hi Sheida.. Try to deposit the Au at a very low evaporation rate and also it could be coming from your dielectric itself. It might not be from the Au deposition. Try to make an OFET with a known OSC and see the gate leakage current. It might give you an idea.

is it, really, a negative[1,2] capacitance or, rather, a parasitic inductance, due to (small & nondense, parasitic Au-islands) e.g.
case 1: before the conductivity percolation[3] threshold[4],
or
case 2: at, or after, the percolation threshold (e.g. a quasi- 'short-circuit', due to denser Au-islands)[4] ?
