I've prepared nanoparticles by inverse microemulsion technique and I've functionalised the nanoparticles with N-(3-aminopropyl)-methacrylamide (APMA) (+ve charge) to facilitate cellular delivery, but the sizes are different between different batches? I've prepared nanoparticles by diluting the nanoparticle in water (1:10)!

Hello Reem Abuhejail - are you able to share some details about the DLS results, possibly even the data file? How different is the size, PDI, differences in the measurement conditions, count rate. It could be for example multiple scattering or it could be a change in your sample size.

Please outline your filtration processes in preparation and your dilution regime for measurement - the worst diluent for an emulsion is DI water. You need to dilute in the mother liquor preserving the exact ionic and surfactant make-up as your original preparation. Are you using a 173 degree back-scatter or a 90 degree system?
Maybe your preparation is not as repeatable as you think.
It would be helpful if you indicated just how different the sizes are.
You need to make multiple batches to determine the inherent variability of your synthesis. Also, if possible, look at TEM or SEM to confirm the differences DLS suggests.
