Why Hilbert transform is so prone to noises in the signal and it does not work well on that.
You may be seeing an aliasing effect due to how it is computed using an FFT - See 3.1.2 in here: http://cdn.intechopen.com/pdfs-wm/36434.pdf
The Hilbert transform is related to derivation and dx/dt is sensitive to high frequency noise. All you can do is, if you know what the frequency band of interest is, and if that does not overlap much with the frequency band of your noise, apply a filter to improve the signal to noise ratio before doing the HT.

The Hilbert transform is linear transform of the signal such that the signal must satisfy the equation Reiman-Cauchy
I think the reason that the Hilbert transform is sensitive to noise. This is because it makes detection envelopes siganux without phase !!

I speak of the nature of the correlated noise or not, and especially it is gaussian or not !!!
