С 2004 года один-два раза в год организую научные экспедиции в регионы Таба, Нубейба, Дахаб, Шарм, Макади Бэй, Сафага, Эль-Крузейр, Марса-Алам. До 2005 года я не наблюдал сосуществования кораллов и водорослей на коралловых рифах. В олиготрофной зоне нет места водорослям и по этой причине мы можем любоваться кораллами. Сейчас я часто вижу зеленые водоросли на вершине кораллов, которых раньше там не было. Я не против водорослей в Красном море. Это увеличение биоразнообразия. Но в будущем кораллы могут уступить место водорослям. Это произойдет, если в воде увеличатся концентрации нитратов и фосфатов.
