Dear Researchers,

I have studied several papers on design of band pass filter (BPF) using fractal structures say Koch Fractal, Minkowski Fractal etc.

They all usually have good rolloff rate. What can be the physical mechanism behind it? Is it due to increase in value of inductance and capacitance or something else?? kindly guide on this issue.. If there is some ref. paper or mathematical relationship justifying same, please do share...

ALso one more thing- why selectivity is increased as we increase the iteration stage of fractal i.e., second stage has better ROR than first stage and so on...??what can be the reason for it..
