I have ELSD II detector with Shimadzu UFLC with LC-20AB. System was down for almost 3 years, engineer came and checked and injected caffeine and said its fine. I just started using it yesterday first time, for about 20 minutes I did see baseline and broad peak for the sample I injected. I thought I am using first time, so I did Second injection of the same sample. No signal and this morning same behavior, Detector has ready signal, no error, gas is Compress air at the recommended pressure - about 300kpa. 40C temp as it was set by the retired chemist four years ago, flow rate 1ml/min, 20ul injection, gradient. Only thing I notices is glass U tube of the glass chamber is holding liquid. I do not even know if it is supposed to, I am new to this system and detector. Please advice. Thank you.
