i recently found elastic modulus from UTM test and storage modulus from DMTA. UTM was conducted at room temperature and the value was 1.03 gigapascal. when i see the DMTA curve and find storage modulus value at 25 degree c, its value is 1.66 gigapascals. can anyone explain why its too much different. i believe it should be almost the same as tensile modulus is the resistance of a material to resist an elastic deformation while storage modulus is the amount of energy required to deform a material. please guide me why my sample shows much difference in the results of tensile modulus (from UTM) and storage modulus (from DMTA).
