Concentration of the mobile ions is linearly proportional to the concentration of QDs. Moreover to create homogenius medium we mixed QDs and LC in an ultrasonix bath. We have figured out that the more mixing time is the greater the concentration of mobile ions is.

Does TOPO shell of the QDs can be source of the ions?
