TO/Activated carbon(AC) intensity is decreased after doping with Strontium(Sr) as shown in the figure.
TO/AC calcination is lower than Sr-TO/AC.
Is this the absolute intensity as measured or is it normalized in some way?
Yep here everything is same..... In both samples have also the same amount of AC but different calcination temperature....
The absolute intensity can be affected by many factors. You can start by sorting out instrumental effects. For example - did you measure both samples mounted side by side or was it two separate experiments?
Then, in addition, you also need to consider sample-related effects. XPS signal is directly proportional to the number of atoms in the probed volume. After doping you may simply "dilute" the Ti concentration compared to the original sample.
