Hello, I'm Japanese student and I just started using abaqus recently.

I may make some mistakes in my texts because I'm not used to write English.

As you can see the attached picture, the connected plate ( middle plate ) has a boundary condition to constraint displacement for x,y axsis and tensile force is exerted on edge of connected area. My senior says that when there is tensile force, then there is the possibility that this joint model will have displacement toward y or x axsis but I cannot imagine because there is the tensil force toward z axsis so I think this joint model have the displacement only for z axisis.

Please tell me why this joint model has the diplacement for y or x axsis.
