In my research i fabricated banana-jute fiber reinforced composites with different fiber loadings (10,20,30,40 wt.%).The tensile strength of composites increases up to 30wt.% and then decreases at 40 Wt.% fiber loading.while tensile modulus increases continuously up to 40 Wt.% fiber loading. How can this be explained?
There are many reason;
firstly fiber distrubition homogeneous. increase fiber content also increase heterogeneous and this effect tensile strength decrease
other reason is interface of the fiber and matrix. increase fiber content also affect this condition

Adding fiber or whisker reinforcement usually improve stiffness, but particulate reinforcement enhances the strength. It is mainly due to the geometry of added phase and different strengthening mechanisms. Dissimilar behavior is may be traced back to this issue.
Generally, the tensile strength depends on the fibre and matrix content in the composites as well as interfaced level between them. But the modulus is mostly depend on the reinforcement content in the composites. This might be a reason for your composite mechanical behavior.
You do not explain how you fabricated the composites or how you tested them. Lacking adequate problem definition, I can only speculate that you have encountered orientation effects, i.e., as you you increase fiber loading, tensile strength reinforcement can be diminished by reduced fiber orientation in the test direction. Modulus reinforcement on the other hand is much less dependent on orientation. It's all ion the literature.
