I'm currently on the analysis part of my research so when I entered the odds ratio and 95% CI value (i.e. 1.06; 0.82,1.73) from a study onto RevMan, it gave a different value for one of the confidence interval (1.06; 0.82,1.37). So there is almost a difference of 0.4 in one of the CI. I encountered the same problem when I entered this value in OpenMeta Analyst. Any idea why is this happening and what to do about it?

Do you also enter the four cell sizes as part of the data entry? If so, it may be the case that there was a typo in the CI that you've been entering (0.82, 1.73) such that it should have been (0.82, 1.37). The fact that both programs give this result leads me to suspect that is the case; a transposition of "37" for "73" is something that could happen in a published result.

I didn't enter the four cell sizes as part of data entry so if you could guide me how do i furniture four cell counts to verify CIs?
