I made a simulation based on a cubic piece pressed against a rotating cylinder. when the cylinder has a small radius (1 cm), I am getting accurate temperature results. however, when I increase the radius to 10 cm. the temperature profile goes wrong (low temperature profile). knowing that I increased the load. the cubic piece has high density (carbide) while the cylinder is steel.
Pl. do fully coupled thermal-stress analysis. I am seeing some contact phenomena in your picture. In contact problem heat conducted between surfaces may depend strongly on the separation of the surfaces & load transmitted across the surfaces.

I used dynamic, explicit temp-displacement analysis for both simulations. is it necessary to use fully coupled thermal analysis?
Notice that in the second case the temp maximum is much higher so you cannot directly compare the contour plots.
It seems that one node gets avery high temperature for some reason.
thank you Sir Martin Baeker for your answer. kindly I want to ask if it is better to use dynamic explicit temp-displacement analysis or coupled temperate displacement?
