Slavery is officially illegal in all countries, but there are still an estimated 20 million to 30 million slaves worldwide. The slavery should be ended in 1865. Mauritania was the last jurisdiction to officially outlaw slavery (in 1981/2007), but about 10% to 20% of its population is estimated to live in slavery.

There is no difference between the two groups. The human trafficking is a modern-day slavery . Most are indebted to smugglers and traffickers. In the human trafficking group, victims have also been pressed to work in factories, farms, strip clubs, begging and peddling rings and as domestic workers — for little or no money.
Human trafficking and slavery are a crime against the person because of the violation of the victim's rights through coercion and exploitation. Both are considered heinous crimes
I agree with you 100%. Whenever I have the chance to share this topic with a group or in conversations with friends, I like to define this issue as "Modern Day Slavery". There is a political history on this label: "Human Trafficking". An article just came out where it nicely explains the historical background of it. However, I think the label "human trafficking" is a bit unclear of what we are really talking about: Modern Day Slavery.
That is a very good question. From my perspective not all trafficked fall into a "slave-type" or indentured situation, thus, the term slavery does not apply in all cases.
