During the evaluation of reverse osmosis unit treating groundwater unit we found that the concentrations of Al, Cu, Mn, Zn, and Fe in treated water is higher than these in the raw water, if we know that all tests done by ICP-MS
If RO water has more of these metals than the raw water, then it most likely indicates these metals are leached from pipes or storage in contact with RO water. Water, just after RO, does not contain any ions, thus very corrosive and can dissolve metals from pipes or storage tank. To prevent this, RO water is usually post-treated or blended with other water that has more ions. So I would check how RO water is handled to find the source of these metals.
