Why do some antibody have blocking effect while some have agonist effect? 

For a co-stimulatory receptor/ligand, an antibody against it is usually agonist. Can an antibody against it have blocking effect?

For a co-inhibitory receptor/ligand, an antibody against it is usually blocking antibody. Can an antibody against it have agonist effect?
