In my personal experience the quality of the interaction is essential. There is no device that grants the same comfort, immediateness and control. Page turning / retrieval (e) and general ergonomy (d) would be my best bet.
I carry my papers to read wherever I go without thinking about electric power, batteries etc. I can take notes and comment easily on the back of the paper.
Reading on the screen is easier when you have to search for specific information (scanning and skimming), and in this case it makes sense for me. So, that's c) of your list.
I grew up with books on paper, so the sensation when touching the material has a meaning for me. That might well be a).
