I just figure it out that not all lipase belongs to true lipase family. I mean not all of them contain GXSXG or GDSL conserved region, for example, a lipase gene from Alcaligenes faecalis (GenBank: KGP03220.1). This one belongs to ATP binding cassette (ABC) transport protein family.

can anyone explain why? and how about its function as hydrolase enzyme?
