Hi all,

I was performing phospholipid analysis according to the following protocol:

Determination of Total Phosphorus | Avanti Polar Lipids (avantilipids.)

It was working fine for a few months. I got nice straight calibration curves no issues.

But since 2 weeks I does not work anymore. The values of the calibration were all over the place. In the meantime I have exchanged all the reagents but that does not help. I noticed that sometimes when I add the Ammonium molybdate(VI) tetrahydrate solution the solution will turn bright yellow when that happens there is way less blue color development when adding the ascorbic acid solution. Sometimes it does not happen and then the blue color development seems to be normal. This phenomena seems to happen at random.

Did somebody experience similar problems?

Does somebody know what could be wrong?

Best,

Jorik
