Using GEO2R, I wanted to rapidly analyze the gene expression dataset GSE185462 that I had obtained. For most datasets in GEO2R, the option to load a dataset into GEO2R may be found just above the download options for each dataset on the accession page.
I've found that some do not have this, and when I attempted to simply input the accession number into GEO2R , I get an error saying "Error: Samples contain no data for analysis".
Could anyone explain why this happens?

Datasets from experiments such as high-throughput sequencing or genome tiling arrays in GEO could not be used by GEO2R. Even the dataset you mentioned is an SRA, which is again a restriction. Under section "Limitations and caveats" on the following link, you can find detailed information. Thanks
