I cut 20 µm rat brain fixed frozen slices using a cryostat, and using a drop of PBS on a superfrost slide to make sure the tissue is perfectly well spread.
During IHC, most of the slides got detached.
Do you think it's because I used PBS earlier to mount the slice on the slide? why else?

If the slides are not positively charged you will have to sub, or gelatin coat them. We gelatin coat all our slides.

Thank You for your answers! The slides are superfrost plus, positively charged, and not expired.
My only worry is that the use of PBS 1x to help better spread the brain section on the slide is impending their adhesion and causing them to detach.
