Why am I not getting any RNA from the cranberry treated bacterial cells?

Hello

I am trying to extract RNA from the bacterial cells (Salmonella) treated with cranberry extract at their MIC level (which will inhibit but not kill cells). I am using Ribipure RNA purification kit for extracting RNA. Although I am able to extract RNA from the control cells (with cranberry treatment), not from treated cells. Do anyone have any suggestion?

you can extract rna at log phase approximately OD: 0.5-1. so maybe you can incubate your samples a litlle bit longer. In my opinion you cant extract enough rna.
