why acid doesn't dissolve Graphene when using PMMA assisted transfer process? usually Graphene grows on both sides of the metal substrates. Which layer do we obtain during the transfer process? If the Graphene on lower face of metal disolves in acid, why doesn't the upper layer dissolve too?

Lower faced Graphene don't dissolve in acid. They just disintegrate/break-down into the acid solvent since they don't have enough mechanical rigidity by its own (since no PMMA attached to it). The role of PMMA is not only to make Gr/PMMA float on top but also to provide mechanical rigidity to Gr.
