I can't say there is one person thought to be the most famous in Greece. There many people here that are considered to be famous, most of them due to their unethical actions.

At this point in time in Nigeria, I do not think we have any famous person that one would want the younger generation to look up to. What we have in our political terrain are rogues who defraud the nation of her God-given wealth. May the Lord rescue this nation from their hands.

I would say Pierre Trudeau was the most famous in Canada. A flamboyant politician who spoke his mind and put Canada on the world map. Some did not like him, but everyone would recognize him on the street.
For Greece I would say Mikis Theodorakis, known as music composer (Zorba the Greek music), but also very active politically and whose opinion is sought and is counted. You can't miss him in the street due to his imposing height and personality (but he can't walk anymore due to his age and health)
