In Austria every employer has to report each workplace accident in accordance to § 363 Abs 1 Allgemeines Sozialversicherungsgesetz (ASVG) [General Social Insurance Act] . Workplace accidents can be reported online as well.

Furthermore every employee has to report every accident and even every near accident to its employer - § 15 Abs 5 ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz (ASchG) / Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA).

Statistical data can be found via Statistic Austria.

Maybe I have not explained very well. I do not need statistics.

I am interested in the notification process and would like to know whom the accidents are reported in each country.

What I intend is to compare the procedures and the notification mechanisms, Who notifies and What steps does this person follow?

For example, in Spain it is the employer who has to report the accident to the Ministry of Labor in a short period of time and should give all the details related to the accident. For this purpose an official web application is used where you have to fill all the requested items and this is the only way.

The Danish system is also based on an obligation to report in a digital questionnaire. 

In Austria workplace conflicts have to be reported to Austrian Workers´ Compensation Board by the employer. They can be either reported only or via the attached template (in German available only).

First person who have a contact with injured worker is an ambulance doctor or (at big enterprises) - in-factory doctor in charge in our country (Ukraine). After receiving information on accident at working place they have to fill in special documents (in paper form) and send it via post to department of labour protection of ministry of public health.

 In the European Union (EU) accident data follows this sequence:

1- Initial Report (notification form) - originates in the company where the accident occurred. There is a standardised Form in each country, but all forms are quite similar and follow a “harmonised” system for registering data.

2- Compilation of data (all accidents) and production of statistics (aggregated statistics) can be made in two different ways:

  In Italy   in case of injury, the worker must immediately notify the employer of what happened. In case of impossibility you can intervene colleague who witnessed the incident. The employer will be required to make the Inail( National Insurance Institute on occupational accidents)complaint as soon as the worker, or family member, will present, within 2 days from the date of issue of the medical certificate to the emergency room with prognosis of more than 3 days.

If the prognosis is less, the employer has no obligation to report the accident. If the treatment, however, were to continue, the worker must also provide certificates drawn up by your doctor.

If the employer does not make a complaint, the employee must take action and present it directly.

relapse

An employee who has suffered an injury after clinical cure, must return to work.

Sometimes, though, it can happen that, for the consequences of the injuries caused by the accident, the employee is obliged to stop, for supervening physical and psychological impossibility, the work activity. This pathological situation is called "relapse" (exacerbation of the accident after-effects) and therefore should "reopen" the Inail accident.

Relapse, unlike relapse, is a new fact, a new injury and will require a new complaint by the employer.

Revision (aggravation)

The revision is the procedure that allows you to review over time the damage suffered as a result of the accident. It may be requested by the insured or willing Inail timescale set by the standard.

For injuries, the first revision can be made only after a period of one year from the date of the accident and at least 6 months from the date of constitution of the annuity.

In the first 4 years of the date of the annuity constitution, all possible revisions (maximum 3) as long as it's been a year after the previous one.

After the four-year can be revised at the end of the seventh year from the date of constitution of the annuity and the latest revision should be given by the worker or willing Inail, at the end of the tenth year from the date of constitution of the annuity.

The procedure for the latest revision should be activated without exception, within one year after the expiry of 10 years from the date of constitution of the annuity (the effective

Normally, at the company is the hygiene and industrial safety department and national level, both services Ministry of Labour and the Labour Inspection (in our country). These statistics help to identify future directions in prevention.

In Malaysia, A Non EU country....An an employer shall notify the nearest DOSH ( Depatment of Occupational Health and Safety) office of any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which has occurred or is likely to occur at the place of work..Besides the employers should have keep the records of such happening though incident reports. ..Again any physicians attending patients who might have experienced occupational injury/sickness is to report to DOSH too..... please check www.dosh.gov.my fo more information....regads...Chowdhury.

Report to EHS Manager and you need to record all your accidents and if OSHA required you have to show record keeping of all accidents 

In the US the rules on reporting injuries just changed 1 January 2015 and are as follows: Employers must report to OSHA within 24 hours any work-related amputation, in-patient hospitalization, or loss of eye.  Fatalities must be reported within 8 hours.

In Greece, employers must report to the Greek Labour Inspectorate (corresponding local office) within 24 hours any work-related accident. In case of non-compliance a fine is imposed to the employer. Statistical data are assessed and presented at the end of each year by the Greek Labour Inspectorate by publication of an Annual Report.

The prolème is in the informal sector, how it requires institutions to report workplace accidents. Usually with private, it will rule the maible away from any official count: statistics do not reflèttent reality !!!

 In Portugal the responsibility lies with the employer, through the organization of the occupational health and safety services expressed in Law no. 102/2009, which has to make the reports of occupational accidents and updated the list of occupational accidents. It must participate to the Authority for the Conditions of Work, supervisory body. The employer also has to parity the Work Accidents in the Single Report, Annex D.The ACT is in partnership with the congere of the Spanish Labor Inspection the "Campaign for Prevention of work accidents".

Normally it is the heads of enterprises who must report their accidents to the insurance fund and to the labor inspectorate and it is the fact that the balance of accidents and occupational diseases and the breakdown by Activities, sex, age, etc.

The same work is done at the level of each company for a possible improvement.

In Bulgaria the national Social Security Institute bears the responsibility for collecting statistical data on occupational accidents. The data is in accordance with the requirements of the Statistical System Occupational Accidents, adopted in the country in 2001, which is in full compliance with the requirements of the European Statistics on Accidents at Work (ESAW).
