C. Liberica and C. Excelsea belong to the rarer coffee species in coffee cultivation. Their share in the global market is below 1%. However, climate change, new processing styles and changed customer expectations are giving C. Liberica a new stage. Coffee producers mainly in South East Asia often grow both coffee species along with each other and can not differentiate them. Who knows papers, that can help to find differentiation criteria between the latter two coffee species (including DNA) using phenotype criteria or precursors or comparable methods?
