I have tried calculating the labile carbon in the biochar samples with the KMnO4 method using glucose as a standard. the molarities of KMnO4 used were 333mM, 15mM, 5mM. glucose have been used as a standard for the same with different conc. The standard cure that is being obtained has a r2 value of 1.
You seem to be asking why glucose is labile but I suspect that is not what you want to know, hence my previous cryptic response
Sir, I am trying to calculate the labile carbon in my biochar samples, for that I am using glucose as a standard for the spectro analysis. Everytime i run my samples, the value of r2 for the standard curve turns out to be 1. this practically is not possible..Thus, I am looking for suggestions.
Glucose is easily oxidised so the r2 for glucose calibration should be close to 1.
