Both oral presentation in an international conference and publishing the research findings in an international journal are credential for any researcher. However, which one is more preferable or effective to expose the potentiality of an individual?
I would start with a conference presentation, so that you - already being there - learn from the other talks. Especially you might present yourself to a few scholars whose talks you fancy during the coffee breaks. Chatting with a few about your work - and distribute it, say, on a USB stick, you may have a chance to have a few of them read it, and comment on it. Make sure you have your e-mail on that stick, so that you make sure you can be contacted if and when they fancy.
