It should be a research project and through comparison the results be attained.

However, I think, it depends on the characteristics of the person. For example his/her age, default communication path and etc. For the past generations who have experiences with books, visualization of the sentence may have a role in retaining and remembering information. For new generations which have another system for reading in the monitor other factors may be effective.

I think it doesn't matter for majority of people, how you can get this information, but if you work with printed materials sometimes it is easier to make notices and underline some sentences. That's why I prefer print materials.
